HOW OPEN ARE YOU?

We’re putting four individuals through our #StayOpen challenge to see how willing they are to explore different perspectives.

— and you are invited to play along.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • We’ll challenge four individuals to open their minds on an issue they care about, resulting in a “Humans of NY”-style story about the forces at play on their journey.

  • We’ll partner with a musician to create a soundscape on “openness” and an illustrator to interpret the stories, themes, and topics for exploration.

  • The collection’s themes, art, soundscape, and materials will be presented across three events: the art and science lounge, the salon, and the trivia night.

  • The “Stay Open” challenge, creative materials, and collection’s digest with critical takeaways will be made available across both digital and paper good.

KEY TAKEAWAY:

Most issues impacting our lives require nuance and a willingness to change. By understanding the forces that hinder our openness, we can build habits and environments to overcome them.

TOPICS FOR EXPLORATION

The theme of our upcoming collection is “Stay Open”. It’s about attachment to belief, sticky claims, and learning to let go and make space for new ideas and possibilities.

We selected four evidence-driven issues with no clear “right” or “wrong” answer.

Psychedelics.

Should they be illegal?

Space Exploration.

Should it be prioritized?

GMOs.

Should they be celebrated?

Trophy Hunting.

Should it be supported?

Bias isn’t a bad word. We all have them.

The most important thing is that we recognize and learn to keep them in their place.

Explore the biases that may block your own openness through art, games, and community connection.
